Scenes at the official opening of the meeting house at Waiwhetu Marae, Lower Hutt, photographed in September 1960 by Ans Westra. Includes 3 images of Walter Nash and Eruera Tirikatane being greeted on to the marae with a wero (Maori challenge) by John Rangihau; 4 images of a haka being performed in front of the meeting house; 2 images of Bishop Panapa, with his back to the camera, greeting Nash and Tirikatene; 3 other images.
