Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom right - Wool Wagon, Cheviot. Wheeler & Son Ch.Ch.
At the time that this photograph was taken Cheviot Station was owned by William (Ready Money) Robinson. He died in 1889, and his heirs sold the station to the Government in 1893.
