Shows a long low wooden house at the right, on top of a high bank above a river. There are hills in the background. Another small house or hut is visible in the left foreground, on the left bank of the river, with another in the distance at the foot of the background hills.
It is not clear from the artist's title whether he is referring to a European called Mr Noble, or to an upper class Maori man, or family
Location: Oruru is a small settlement south of Doubtless Bay
