Description

Scene in Cathedral Square, circa 1916, photographed alongside the Australian Mutual Provident Society building and Everybody's Picture Theatre. Shows a crowd of people (racegoers?) in double decker trams, while others stand on the footpath nearby. A sign on one of the trams reads: "Races. Special Car". Photographer unidentified.
