A scene in a parlour. A young man (Alexander Fletcher) is being seized by a young woman (Miss Eliza Dick) and her parents and others. A statue of Cupid is on the right, and one of the pictures on the wall features a donkey prominently. An illustration from a satirical work 'The trial of the Rev. Alexander Fletcher ... before the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Sense ...' [1825]
