Description

Bush tramway line through Price's Bush in the Akatarawa Valley, showing the wooden rails. An unidentified man is sitting on the rails, on a bend in the line which is surrounded by native bush. Photograph taken by Albert Percy Godber circa 1903. This image is a film negative taken by Godber.

Price's Bush was an area owned and milled by Thomas Price (1838-1906), who owned milling operations in Lower Hutt and Petone. Identification of place and date from Godber Acquisitions Register (Photographic Archives)
