School boys attending a rural studies division class in the science laboratory at Stratford Technical School in 1911. Their teacher, possibly Mr Heatley, stands in front of a blackboard which has the heading "Recognition of Meadow and Pasture Grasses by their leaves" written upon it. Taken by James McAllister.
The school was divided into two divisions, rural and classical.(Information from back of file print)
