The Alexander Turnbull Library SPC copy lacks leaves 2a1-2a6. Printer's corrections by stamp in inner margin at t4 recto, line 28, at ²D1 recto, line 41, and outer margin at ²B6 verso, line 38. Binding: possibly English, quarter alum tawed pigskin over 4mm beech boards (slightly wormed), two hook-clasp fastenings on fore-edge with catch plate on lower cover, pigskin roll tooled in blind with ?hunting scenes and a central strip in a repeating single floral tool; pigskin stained brown on spine. Text block sewn on 4 double supports, showing on spine as raised bands; labels pasted into top and second compartments, the top label largely overpainted, the second compartment with label "Comediae Plavtinae"; the lower three compartments each divided into two triangles with blind-tooled fillets and faded gold-coloured paint, with the single floral tool in each triangle.
