The Alexander Turnbull Library copy in the Special Printed Collections. Binding: full vellucent bindings of transparent vellum over pale green paper. Panel design of upper covers of both volumes decorated in mauve, green, yellow, brown and orange, in art nouveau style with gold tooling; heart-shaped centrepiece features characters from the fairy tales. Title lettering in blue and brown. Small central heart-shaped art nouveau design in mauve, yellow, and green with gold tooling on lower covers. Spine gold tooled with decoration in purple, green mauve and brown, lettered in blue; gold tooled turn-ins; pink end papers mottled in yellow, top text edge gilt. Binder's stamp in gold, turn-in of lower cover, v.2: Cedric Chivers Bath; green cloth slip cases. Provenance: armorial bookplate and cipher of Lt. General Charles Pollard, with motto: Deus pro nobis quis contra nos; bookplate of Alex H. Turnbull. Accompanied by prospectus and 10 reviews extracted from various newspapers and magazines, some in Danish, in separate envelope. Acc. 53836, 352174.
