The Alexander Turnbull Library SPC copy. Binding: contemporary calf over 8mm wooden boards, spine now lacking ; evidence of corner and centre pieces, now missing ; remains of clasps, with catch plate on the upper cover. Upper and lower boards tooled in blind to different panel designs using fillet rolls and individual tools ; upper cover has title 'Suma Afteanu' tooled into title space at head, repeating flower and griffin tools around perimeter and cone and leaf tools in central panel ; lower cover has repeating flower tool around the perimeter with central panel divided by fillets into four triangular segments with griffin tool in each segment. Text block sewn on four double cords laced into the boards; vellum transverse spine linings; printer's waste used for pastedowns (which are watermarked with flower design (Briquet 6503).

Provenance: illuminated initial on leaf [3]r in gold and colours; smaller initials and paragraph marks supplied in red, some capitals in blue, initial on leaf [2]r in red and blue.
