Binding: brown crushed morocco, gold tooled upper cover with roses and bees within border (inner triple fillet and double outer fillet) enclosing the legend: Epitaph. Republished collected works 1837. The lower cover has the same design enclosing within smaller gold tooled frame the legend: The flower for me, the honey for thee. Spine with raised bands and gold tooled compartments, gold tooled edges, gold tooled turn-ins decorated with gold bee stamp in corners, blue endpapers, untrimmed text edges. Gilt binder's stamp on upper pastedown: R. Riviere & Son, for S.M. Samuel, 1893. Spine title: Epitaph. Wordsworth. With author corrections. ND. Provenance: two holograph manuscript notes by John Carter, Wordworth's clerk, tipped in (with watermark "1827" on paper); "Davis" (typesetter?) handwritten in pencil on p. [1]; pencil ms. corrections throughout text; bookplate of Alex H. Turnbull. Acc. 352313.
