Description: View of the Papakorito Falls on the Aniwaniwa Stream which flows into Lake Waikaremoana, 1910. Photograph probably taken by John William McDougall (editor of the Daily Telegraph in Napier between 1905 and 1914.) Other - Photographer identified from Wise's Post Office Directory between 1905 and 1914, the only McDougall living anywhere near Lake Waikaremoana.A researcher has found a photograph by 'HH McDougall' who also lived in Napier at this time, so may possibly be the photographer. He was the son of John William McDougall. Other Titles - Papakorito Falls. Original inscription given as PapaOkarito Falls, but listed in "Discover New Zealand, a Wise's Guide" as Papakorito Falls (under the heading Aniwaniwa, Aniwaniwa Stream.
