Description: Entitled 'Wellington at the bay' with the word 'bay' crossed out so that the title reads 'Wellington at bay'. An angry bird (an eagle?) attacks a Wellington rugby player who has been threatening to steal 'Hawkeye's nest egg' from its nest in a tree behind him. The nest egg is the Ranfurly Shield and 'Hawkeye' refers to the fact that Hawkes Bay currently holds it. In fact Canterbury did take the Ranfurly Shield 18-11 from Hawkes Bay on 27 September 1969.
