Description: Poster encouraging participation in a demonstration against the American Air Force administrative and logistics installation at Washdyke near Timaru, and the US Air Force satellite tracking station on Mt John at Lake Tekapo. the main illustration shows a figure labelled "NZ" knocking out a figure in a fitting Stars & Stripes suit (a la Superman) with an "A" on the head covering and the letters "US" on his chest. The affixed typescript below explains the aims and context of the proposed demonstrations and asks for North Island demonstrators to participate, by contacting Michael Law who was to arrange ferry bookings for those interested. The demonstrators were to be transported in buses and the notice appeals for contributions towards the $530 needed for the buses. Two copies held. Quantity: 1 b&w art print(s).
