Description: Flier, printed in black on orange paper, shows two ornately bordered panels, possibly designed as packaging labels, for pure dandelion coffee "grown and manufactured solely" by William Caines, and sold in one pound and half-pound tins. Small print describes the beneficial effect of this drink on the liver, gall, spleen, and urinary organs; and its relief of suffering for those with Progressing Consumption. Description: Shows a montage of images, including telegraph wires above Wellington Harbour, a young Maori woman posting a letter in a postbox while she frees a bird on her right hand; two warriors standing within a Maori pa, with flax and cabbage trees, a steamship crossing the sea; a train puffing along the line; and the Chief Post Office building in Wellington. Description: Top two labels show the same scene of Mt Taranaki, framed between a Maori whare and a cabbage tree (probably based on Allom's lithograph of Heaphy's view of Mt Egmont). As well there are decorative panels of an Oriental style. Bottom label shows a view of the central mountain plateau, with a ship coming into harbour in the foreground. This view is flanked by pictures of a cabbage tree and a tree fern. There is a picture of a ship at the mouth of a port (possibly the mouth of the Whanganui River) on the other half of the label.
