"Instruct our sharebroker to take up a strategic holding in candles." 26 January 2010

Date: 2010

From: Hawkey, Allan Charles, 1941- :[Digital cartoons published in the Waikato Times].

Lines company Vector introduced rolling outages to Auckland suburbs to share the load and restored power at 8pm. Meanwhile, Auckland Mayor John Banks called for heads to roll at Transpower following the major power outage but Energy Minister Gerry Brownlee said that there was a multiplicity of reasons (for the outage) and the way to fix it was to have the new high tension lines through the Waikato built as quickly as possible.
