Dated from other photographs in sequence, and from the presence of electric power lines. Identified from typescript of photographer's negative register held at TL 6/1/62. Description: View of Northcote wharf with Auckland city, St Mary's Bay and Westhaven in the distance. Taken from a vantage point on a grassy slope near the foreshore of Hall's Beach and looking across Little Shoal Bay. Cabbage trees and a pohutukawa are in the immediate foreground and people can be seen walking on the tidal flats in the distance. A ferry is approaching the wharf and another vessel can be seen in the distance heading towards Auckland. Taken ca 1908 by William Archer Price of Auckland.
