Description: Cadastral map of two lots with acreages and boundary measurements on Seatoun Heights Road. Includes a twenty foot wide right of way to a back section and a twenty foot wide reserve from the Wellington City Council reservoir. The annotation to this base map is the addition of colourwash to highlight the sections. The second map is a locality plan of the area from Scots College and Monorgan Road to Miramar South School and Park Road. Includes the Pass of Branda, Marine Parade and Awa Street. A library is marked on Broadway, includes sites of a quarry, reservoir, a convent and Roman Catholic School, an Anglican Church and nearby residence, a Presbyterian Church, tennis courts and bowling green, a school, Beacon Hill Signal Station Reserve, Military Reserve, Seatoun Park, Seatoun Wharf, Telegraph Reserve, Worser Bay. Streets are named and the route of the tramway is marked. The annotation to this map is the position of the land for sale on Seatoun Heights Road. Map accompanied by a copy of a typewritten letter dated 11th January 1937, from H. Gyles Turner of the Wellington Harbour Board, Chief Engineer's office to Gordon Harcourt, 153-155 Featherston Street, Wellington. The content of the letter refers to the accompanying plans and the varying prices for the sections. Reference is made to the location on the Seatoun side of the hill, includes details of shelter from the winds, and refers to the exceptional view. Description: Cadastral map of the area between Oriental Parade and McFarlane Street, Wellington. Four numbered lots include acreages and boundary mesurements. Lot 1 includes the site of a shed and garage. The site of a residence is marked on Lot 2 and a note refers to the building alignment from McFarland Street. A garage from an adjoining section is noted as 7" over the boundary of Lot 4. Private ways have boundary measurements and their respective acreages are added to the totals of relevant lots. Accompanied by a copy of a typewritten sheet detailing valuations of each lot and City Council rules about drainage, rights of way and frontages onto the street. Notes refer to G.G.G. The site of Wyatt's Store is marked at the junction of Kurupuni Lane and South Road. Includes Vivian Street and directions are given for Carterton and Masterton. Includes measurements and prices in pounds sterling which correspond with the attached list on Chennell's notepaper. The Makoura Creek is named. A line, prominently marked, appears to be a fenceline but is not referred to in either a key or notes. Sites of houses are marked in few sections. Names include Miss Cole, H.
