Description: Shows a ragged tree stump and trees standing in the foreground, in front of a hilly landscape, with part of Matuku Pa and its fences below and to the left. Mr Randall Springer of the Whanganui Historical Society has identified this as a view in the Mokai Patea Range east of Utiku, rather than Patea in Taranaki. Identified by Richard Steedman, November 2003, as one of five views taken from Matuku Pa, inland Patea, on 13 March 1845. The five sketches are E-296-q-091-1, -091-8, -093-1, -093-3 and -095-1 Quantity: 1 watercolour(s) in sketchbook.. Physical Description: Pencil and sepia, 90 x 150 mm.
