Description: The records comprise the correspondence of both companies, together with minute books, financial records, reports and stock records. The former New Zealand Loan and Mercantile records consist of some files from the Wellington head office, and a large collection from the Gore branch, mainly of correspondence from other South Island agencies, and financial, stock and other returns. The Dalgety boxed records are from the Christchurch and head office, and consist mainly of correspondence and financial records. The volumes in 76-291 are from the original Dalgety head office. Source of title - Supplied title Other - Extensive collections of records of both Dalgety New Zealand Ltd (400m) and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (120m) are held at the Noel Butlin Archives of Business and Labour, Australian National University, Canberra ACT, Australia.
