Description: White describes life on board HMS `Mildura' while on a voyage to the Pacific Islands, including New Zealand, 24 Oct 1900 to 14 Jul 1902, and summarises from until Sep 1902. He recorded almost daily, noting his work schedule, stops made, places visited (mostly in New Zealand and Australia) and other events. Ports included Picton, and the Sounds, Auckland, Akaroa, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Norfolk Bay and Milford Sound and he describes reaction to the death of Queen Victoria in Jan 1901 and Naval Day celebrations in May 1901 at Neutral Bay, Sydney.
