Two months before the 2011 General Election, the Prime Minister, John Key, hosted a show on Radio Live. In February 2012 the Electoral Commission decided that this breached the Broadcasting Act. The Prime Minister claimed to have no knowledge of his staff having any input into the show, despite leaked e-mails suggesting otherwise.
