Description: Typescript prepared by Te Atahikoia which includes traditional information about the activities of Whena and Uenuku at Hawaiki, and the migration of the Takitimu canoe from Hawaiki to New Zealand. Also includes traditional information at Ngati Kahungunu ancestors including Tupurupuru, Rakaihikuroa and Taraia; following this, various conflicts involving Ngati Kahungunu and other iwi are described.
