Description: Map of Rev. S. Williams property adjacent to Te Aute College estate, Pukehou Railway Station, Kaikora township, Patangata Road and part of the lake, Roto a Kiwa. Includes some named and some numbered land blocks, and also acreages with some owners' names. The old bed of the Waipawa River, the road from Napier to Waipawa and the railway line are all marked, as are private roads and one labelled 'The conveyance from Rathbone shews right of road on this boundary'. Names of landowners are: R. Todd, W. Rathbone, J. Small, J. Collins, Rev. S. Williams. The inset is an enlarged map of sections adjacent to the Pukehou Railway Station. These include names, acreages and railway acreages. The Cemetery Reserve of Te Aute College is marked and the land block belonging to Rev. W. Williams. A drain and the road to Napier cross these land blocks. Includes some pencilled markings and revised acreages. Description: Cadastral map depicting several lots of reserved land and purchased land for named Maori owners. Some text on the titles show money is still outstanding for the land, such as '200 acres reserve for Hone Ropika and party 100 acres to be paid for', some reserved land refers to a list, such as 'Reserve of 500 acres for te Ropiha and his relatives as per list'. There are '75 acres reserve for ?Kirikupu te Haewiriana and Ihaia for natives at Nelson'. One piece of text mentions claims: '40 acres reserve for Hopataiha in consideration of all claims balance over 40 acres to be paid for'. Description: Cadastral map of Maraekakaho district, Hastings depicting the boundaries of Donald McLean's run (which includes over 11,000 acres of Crown land). It borders the Mangaonuku and Maraekakaho streams, Raukawa West and Ngatarawa no.2 and 3). Other McLean's identified on the map include Captain McLean and A. McLean. Settler owned property on either side of McLean's run is depicted as Mason's run (freehold), Syon's run and HWP Smith's run. A smaller section of Crown land and the Aorangi reserve also share the boundary. Land in private ownership is washed in pink watercolour. Crown land, land under application and some other land within 'Boundary of McLean's run' is not highlighted. Tracts of unhighlighted land are marked with a letter and acreage. Description: Cadastral map, with some topographic features, of the South Makara District from Te Kaminaru, now known as Te Ikamaaaru Bay, Ohao Bay now known as Ohau Bay, Portugese Point and Oterongu Bay now known as Oteranga Bay, Waiariki Creek which adjacent to the site of Mrs. McManaman's house, known as the Old Terawhiti Station, to Cape Terawiti, the Karori Stream, Sinclair Head to Ohiro Bay, now known as Owhiro Bay. Sections are numbered, some with acreages and owners' names. A reference key refers to 82 numbered sections with acreages. Description: Cadastral map of the area surrounding Makara Beach, Ohariu Bay, southeast and northwest of the Makara and Ohariu rivers, including parts of both the Ohariu and the Makara Districts. Shows several numbered sections, with the names of the property owners, including: G Hart (occupied by John ?Monk), T Molesworth, R Barton, Smith (former Hallets), Stevens, Captain Daniell, H St. Hill, New Zealand Company, James Bain, Johnston, ?Barten, John Cook. Two blocks of land include annotations indicating they were sold in October and December 1855, one to the Provincial Government and one to James Baines. Several ink and pencil annotations indicate subsequent owner names and cadastral information. One area marked in pencil as unsurveyed. Large blocks of land are coloured coded as Native (Maori) land; smaller areas as Native (Maori) cultivations. A pa (kainga) at Makara Beach is shown.
