Description: Diary describes Rev Edmond's visit to Christchurch, then back to Wellington. From here he visited Palmerston North and Wanganui, including a boat trip up the Wanganui River to Pipiriki. From Wanganui he traveled by train to Hawera then traveled by road to Opunake and New Plymouth. After visiting various locations in Taranaki he drove to Hawkes Bay via the Manawatu Gorge including Napier and Hastings. From here he traveled north to Opotiki from where he visited White Island.
