Description: The papers consist of the correspondence and subject files belonging to a National back bench Member of Parliament during the Holyoake-Marshall government of 1969-1972. Much of the material relates to Templeton's electorate of Awarua in Southland, and to his interest in Foreign Affairs. Included also are papers from the National Party Research Unit for 1972-1975 with which he was involved, and which cover a wide spectrum of the National Party policy.
