Description: Jno McLean and family, outside their house at 810 Lawrence Street, Hastings, photographed in 1937 by Henry Norford Whitehead. "The house is an "L" plan bungalow in the "combined box" style with a lean-to at the back, and is likely to have been built before the turn of the century. While the house may not be new the telephone wires are a more recent addition." (Information from caption used in " Darling, I'm home!" display). Exhibited in 'Darling, I'm Home!' exhibition at the National Library of New Zealand, 1 June - 5 July 1999.
