Description: View of Auckland Town Hall taken from Queen Street with the statue of Sir George Grey on the left and Grey Street on the right. A large crowd is gathered and all are looking towards the photographer. On the right is a horse and cart with a number of young men standing on board, some with cards in their hatbands. The reason for the gathering is not indicated but it may have been to listen to speeches by a politican or trade unionist. The business premises of George Higgins, bootmaker can be seen on the right behind the crowd. Photograph taken by William A Price, ca 1912-1914.
