Description: Photocopies of letters written by Munro to his parents and family between 19 Apr 1914, when he was at Knox College, and 3 Sep 191 with transcripts by Chris McLennan. His letters, which begin when he is at Knox College in 1914, reflect his philosophy of life, belief in God, his feelings for his parents and move on to his descriptions of his experiences training in camp, sailing on the `Tofua', reaching Bulford Camp, going over to France and fighting in the Battle of the Somme. The last letter was written 3 Sep 1916 and he died 15 Sep 1916. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
