Houses on Wellington Terrace and beyond, and the Bolton Street Cemetery can be seen on the hill behind, with Tinakori Hill in the background. Identifiable premises on Lambton Quay are: T J Mountain; Edward Greaves Smith (Music Warehouse); Henry Owen; baker's shop; chemist & druggist; G Read; J Cook & Son. The Star Boating Club's shed can be seen on the waterfront. One of a panoramic sequence taken 1866 or 1867 by William Henry Whitmore Davis.
