Description: The bulk of the records comprise project files relating to prospective projects. While many are for jobs taken on by the firm, others are for proposals not taken up. Most of these files were part of the firms in-house library, serving as a key record of past projects. Arrangement: The project files have been boxed, with the titles of each file listed in the scope note for each box. Most files have a running-number registration, but this has not been noted in the preliminary box list. Stephenson&Turner is an Australasian architecture firm. It opened a New Zealand office in Wellington in 1956, and the New Zealand activity is now New Zealand owned and operated. It has specialised particularly in commercial buildings, hospitals, universities and other large-scale projects, throughout New Zealand, but particularly in Wellington and Auckland.
