Papers of C T Natusch include shipboard diary of voyage to New Zealand on `Canterbury', inward letters from family members and others, 1878-1887; and documents relating to construction of the Island Bay Tramways, which Natusch was responsible for, 1889-1890. Also miscellaneous papers relating to other Natusch family members, and copy of article on the history of the family architectural business Natusch & Sons. Description: The bulk of the papers are concerned with Daniell's business activities as an architect in Hamilton and Masterton. They contain correspondence, accounts and specifications relating to his architectural work. Daniell's diaries provide information on his activities during this period. The private papers relate to family and community affairs. They contain personal correspondence and documents together with material dealing with Daniell's involvement in the Methodist Church, no-licence and other community activities. Source of title - Supplied Arrangement: The arrangement of the papers reflect the order in which they were received by the Library. There are a considerable number of general correspondence files which have overlapping dates. The letters within each file are arranged alphabetically. The reason why an item was filed under a particular letter of the alphabet is not always apparent and it can not be assumed that a letter will be found exactly where one might expect it to be.
