Description: Portrait of the brand new Wf Class steam locomotive no 387 with steam up, photographed outside a shed at the Addington railway workshops, Christchurch. The railwaymen associated with the locomotive are photographed beside it. Photographed on the 17th of February 1905 by Adam McLay This photograph was taken before 387 went into service. According to "Register of New Zealand Railways Steam Locomotives" W G Lloyd, 1974, this particular locomotive began service on the 14th of August, 1905. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
