Description: Colourful poster has a perpetual calendar in the centre, and is surrounded by advertisements for local businesses of Pukekohe, Papatoetoe, Manurewa, Otahuhu and Papakura. Above the calendar panel is a circular head and shoulders portrait of a clean-shaven Maori chief with facial moko; he is flanked by illustrations of the Scottish thistle and the English rose. Immediately above the calendar is a line of three-leafed clovers, and other illustrations included a boy and girl scout, and two illustrations of a taiaha and long-handled tewhatewha together. Description: Chromolithograph formal decorative invitation shows the coat of arms of the Prince of Wales at top centre, with a New Zealand flag and a Union Jack on either side. At centre right is an inset circular portrait of Prince Edward the Prince of wales, and at left is a circular inset of the ship "Renown". The coats of arms of Auckland and New Zealand are at the lower border, on either side of a crest including an "E" scroll with rose, thistle, shamrock decoration. Description: Includes a collection of political cartoons from the 1940s as well as charicatures and drawings depicting various sportsmen who flourished in the 1940s and 1950s. The political cartoons refer to an electricity crisis as well as issues concerned with the Wellington City Council. In one of the Wellington cartoons the name MacAlister is mentioned. The sporting portraits feature speedway champion Percy Coleman and boxer Dave Sands, as well as wrestlers Lofty Blomfield, Earl McCready, and Bill Kuusisto. Includes a number of smaller illustrations, most of which feature gardening and its related materials. Quantity: 19 newsclippings. Description: Chromolithograph cover of a 28-page souvenir of the visit of Edward Prince of Wales shows an oval inset photograph of the Prince at top centre between a lion and a unicorn and the British and New Zealand flags. Below him is the Prince of Wales plume and motto "Ich dien". The coats of arms of Auckland and New Zealand are shown at left and right of the page. At lower centre is an inset photograph of the HMS "Renown" flanked by two views of the Waitemata Harbour. The border shows a Maori design with Prince of Wales plumes at the four corners.
