Description: The artist, tutor to the Tetley boys (probably the two older boys, Willy and Cadwallader, rather than the youngest, Frank), on horseback, rounding a corner on the Blenheim to Picton road and meeting Lewis's coach, drawn by two horses. Description: Two of the Tetley boys, (Cadwallader and either the oldest, Willy, or the youngest, Frank) watching from the Picton Wharf while one of their horses is winched onto the deck of a steamer, and the other horse waits its turn. The artist also comments 'The busy people of Picton stand on the wharf admiring with hands in pockets' of the group of men and women also standing on the wharf, waiting with boxes.
