Description: A series of humorous sketches, showing how the water-supply in Wellington was affected after the reservoir was built. In the centre is a view of the Wainuiomata Reservoir, and from top left around this image are a view of the by-wash (overflow from the water storage system, newly-installed), then a series of before and after views. The 'before' views include a man taking a bath with difficulty, fireman being unable to extinguish a house fire, street lights casting a gloomy light. The 'after' views show a man having a copious shower, a fire being extinguished with copious water and a bright street light. The improvements are credited to an unidentified man, possibly the City Engineer. His back view shows, with very little hair. Quantity: 1 b&w art print(s).
