Description: Shows a bust of Queen Victoria on a carved and decorated plinth protected by a carved and painted canopy, and surrounded by a chain fence. Several young boys and girls are standing in a row in front of the statue performing an action song, accompanied by a boy playing a piano accordion. A flagpole is just visible behind the statue. Photograph taken by William A Price in Jan 1908. An almost identical image at 1/2-001437 William Archer Price lived and practised in Queen Street, Northcote, 1909-1910. Description: View of the memorial fountain and statue of Sir John Logan Campbell at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park. The statue depicts Sir John in mayoral robes, holding the Deed of Gift. A wreath can be seen laid at the base of the statue. Photograph taken by William A Price, possibly on the death or anniverary of the death of Sir John Logan Campbell, who died in Jun 1912. Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Cornwall Park. Auckland. 735 The fountain and statue were erected at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park by public subscription in appreciation of the donor's generosity. Description: View of Auckland Town Hall taken from Queen Street with the statue of Sir George Grey on the left and Grey Street on the right. A large crowd is gathered and all are looking towards the photographer. On the right is a horse and cart with a number of young men standing on board, some with cards in their hatbands. The reason for the gathering is not indicated but it may have been to listen to speeches by a politican or trade unionist. The business premises of George Higgins, bootmaker can be seen on the right behind the crowd. Photograph taken by William A Price, ca 1912-1914.
