Description: Photographs of New Plymouth and district, including Mount Egmont, and a sequence of views of Parihaka (including the campaign of 1881). Scenes of Parihaka, especially with relationship to the 1881 incident, include views of the pa (with Te Whiti's house visible); the Rahotu volunteer camp, the Rahotu Redoubt; Fort Rolleston; Sentry Hill; Pungarehu officers' quarters and redoubt; Nelson Camp; the Taranaki Rifles and Wellington Navals. Scenic views in the area show Mount Egmont, Bell's Falls, the `Meeting-of-the-Waters', White Cliffs, Sugar Loaf Islands, the New Plymouth breakwater, and views of the New Plymouth Recreation Ground.
