Description: Two people in a canoe in a still backwater, with a rocky foreshore to the left, with trees, and a flax-covered foreshore to the right. Tall bush-clad hills behind, touched with the red glow of sunrise or sunset. Alexander LeGrand Campbell exhibited a painting called View in Queen Charlotte Sound at the inaugural exhibition of the Fine Arts Association of New Zealand in Wellington in March 1883. It may possibly be this watercolour. [Title probably not written by the artist. "Anon" appears to be in another hand.
