Comprises group and individual portraits taken in unidentified locations, probably out of New Zealand. Includes interior and exterior views of unidentified airbases, showing barracks, training rooms, and airstrips. The subjects are all unidentified, except for a portrait of Reginald 'Reg' William Barker, a pilot for the RNZAF, who is photographed sitting in the cockpit of a fighter airplane. Contains a photograph of a man and woman at a wedding reception (taken by Royal Canadian Air Force photographer), which has written on the reverse: 'At reception in Tudor Room, Chateau Laurier Hotel, 9 September 1942' Includes a photograph of the grave of Sir George Stoddart Whitmore, in Napier Cemetery, Hospital Hill, Napier. Description: The negative is captioned "46th N C Os Trentham Aug 1918". According to the historian at the Ministry of Defence this is most likely to be the 46th reinforcements of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. However, only 43 regiments were sent overseas so its possible, given the date, that these reinforcements were ready to go when the war ended. Photographer unidentified.
