Description: A Maori family in the foreground, with the buildings of Simmonds and Hoggard's Windmill behind them (now the site of the Embassy Theatre at the foot of Mount Victoria). Part way up the hill to the left is 'Victoria Cottage' (the top of Marjoribanks Street). This was William Fitzherbert's farm cottage. The windmill was built in 1843. Quantity: 1 colour art print(s). Description: View from the top of the Terrace looking down over Te Aro Flat with Mount Victoria in the distance. Manners Street can clearly be seen in the bottom left of the picture, leading to the Wesleyan Chapel on the right-hand side of the road. Wellington Harbour can be seen on the left of the view, with ships dotted in the harbour The reference to 'Captain Sharpe' should correctly be Captain Sharp.
