Description: Topographic map of the area from the Wanganui River near Petania, includes parts of the Ongarue River and Main Trunk Line, the Punui and Waikato rivers, Lakes Taupo and Rotoaira. Names of rivers, some mountain ranges and settlements are included. Rohe Potae (i.e. King Country) land, in the Taupo Ruapehu districts, claimed by the Ngati Maniapoto and that awarded to Ngati Tuwharetoa are divided by a boundary line and referred to in key. 'Maniapoto' and 'Tuwharetoa' are written across their respective land. Description: Cadastral map, with topographical information, of the Taupo District, showing numbered Maori land blocks. Includes the area from Te Poua Kani, eastwards to Te Kowhatu Whakairo, southwards to the Mohaka River and Mangatainoko, and westwards to Te Kohatu. Land blocks sited include Kaimanawa, Tapapa, Te Matai, Wharetoto, Waikare Mohaka, Runanga, Pohokura, Tauhara, Tauranga, Pukahunui, Kaingaroa, Paeroa, Whakamaru, Maraetai and Okahukura. The land north of Rotoaira and west and northwest of Lake Taupo has not been divided into blocks. The northeastern land blocks have been coloured blue, the southern blocks brown.
