Description: Cadastral map showing area 9 miles south of Tauranga, from the Ruahihi Bridge bordering the Kumi Kumi land blocks on the west and the Kaimai and the Tauwharawhara on the east. The Mangapapa River is shown, along with the Mangakarengorengo, Ngaumuwahine and Manga Hurengorengo Streams. Most of the land blocks indicate their acreage. In the Whaitikuranui no. 6b block, diagram and text which reads 'Thames Valley Co. Station Homestead'. The road or track from Cambridge (Okoroire) to Tauranga is shown to be 31 miles. A pencil annotation shows the Ongaonga no. 2 block and the Kumi Kumi no. 1 block (up to the Ngaumuwahine Stream) subdivided. The map has pencil and some ink annotations. Description: A cadastral map of rural lands open for selection on lease in perpetuity, of the area from the Te Awaroa River to the Wai-inumia Stream, including the Kawhia-Alexandra Road. This base map has numbered sections, some have been coloured, and include acreages, owners' names and dates handwritten in each section. A small map, named Kawhia North S.D., mounted at the top left of the main map, is of sections 5 and 7 which are adjacent to the Awaroa River and one and a half miles to the Hauturu P.O. Includes one owners' name, acreage and a mounted cutting about section 5 and handwritten information including the poster number and date. A second cutting about section 3 is mounted on the bottom left of the main map and includes the relevant poster number and date. The map on the reverse has some sections outlined in red with a prominent note stating 'Superseded. See map on face'. The base maps are of sections in the Kawhia County. Description: Copy of a hand-drawn map of two adjointing sections of farm land adjacent to the Harataunga Harbour, now known as Kennedy Bay, and bordered by the Whareroa and Ohinau Streams, Puketutu and Kaotara Hills and Rangitahi. One section has the names of Nathan Kennedy & Brothers, while the second has McGregor & Atkinson's names, together with acreages. The McGregor & Atkinson property includes the location of a sawmill and wharf, buildings are indicated and one is named 'Mr. Atkinson's'. A handwritten note on the original, written within this section states 'Grant to J. Cruikshank, Nov. 26th., 1867. 12.15a Sol 155'. Description: Base maps of rural lands open for sale or occupation with right of purchase, or for renewable lease, in terms of the Land Act, 1908, in the Wharepapa Survey District, West Taupo County and in the Waipoua Survey District in the Hokianga County. The boundaries of farm blocks in the Wharepapa Survey District, Sections 1, 6,7, 11-24, are prominently outlined, the majority include owners' names and applicable dates handwritten in each section. A scenic reserve, domain and recreation reserve, hospital reserve, cemetery and creamery sites, and the Puniu, Waipari and Mangaharakeke Streams are marked. The roadman's paddock, the school site and temporary reserve have Gazetteer numbers. Brief descriptions of the terrain and vegetation are included. The base map of the Waipoua Survey District has two cuttings about land in the Wharepapa Survey District mounted over the top of it. The first cutting has '1393, 25-7-21, cash or D.P.' written adjacent to it while the second cutting has '1406, 23 & 25-1-2l, for general application' The main base map is of farm sections in the Wharepapa survey district, 15 miles from Kawa Railway station in the West Taupo County, Auckland Land District No. 1195. Description: A base map of rural lands and small grazing runs for lease in the Tauhara Survey District, on the shores of Lake Taupo, has been used by H. Hill to show his own land and other sections leased by him. Several farm blocks include pencilled monetary values while others are shaded and include positions of buildings. H. Hill's own section has handwritten notes 'Afforested & finish', 69 acres, Sold' and adjacent to this section a note states ' Letter to I. Hislop Oct 23/22 re leasing reserve/thermal sp.'. A handwritten pencilled note states 'George Wall, Waitahanui, Tender for fencing' with several pencilled arithmetical sums. The Taupo - Napier Road continues as hand-drawn lines in ink across farm sections. Several sections are marked as withdrawn. A hand-drawn compass indicates the aspect. A letter mounted on the bottom right of the map is a reply from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, K.M. Graham, to H. Hill about lease of extra land. The base map itself is of sections of lands in the Tauhara Survey District, Auckland Land District No. 1095. Includes references to Native Owners and Crown Land, a thermal springs reserve. An extensive statement on the left side of the map begins with the heading Rural Lands and small-grazing runs for lease, and include the date of 24th. October 1911 at the District Lands Office, Auckland. A schedule of the sections includes the valuations, acreages and rent. Instructions to applicants and a caution follow with the printed name of Eric C. Gold Smith, Commissioner of Crown Lands. Includes an abstract of the conditions of lease. Names listed are: G. Description: A poster-plan map number 839 made up of two maps, one a cadastral map of Whareorino survey district available for lease, the other a locality plan of the locality in the Waikato, from North Cape to Taupo. The cadastral map depicts Whareorino S.D. VII as Crown Land, and highlights in red the narrow strip of 230 acres along the cliffs as the land available for lease. Also depicts 1231 acres of Crown Land assigned to WH Cummings and GP Moore, 596 acres of Crown Land assigned to J T Hatton, Lot 1 of 2 assigned to W F Spence, with 666 acres of Lot 1 and 2 of X assigned to WF Kelly and HJ Kelly. Description: A poster-plan map of Auckland Land District no. 1317 depicting 2102 acres of land for sale or lease to discharged soldiers. Made up of two maps, one a cadastral map of the Mangoira Block, indicating numbered sections and including acreages, owner's names and dates handwritten in each section. The other is a locality plan of the area from Kaipara Harbour south to New Plymouth which has an arrow pointing to Awakino. The map includes several paragraphs of text stating conditions of sale, information about the 'second class land', and instructions to applicants. The cadastral map depicts the Awakino North Survey District, with handwritten names listed as CM Raven, MC Pratt, LR Jones, T Cummings, GP Sage, CJ Randell, (earlier owners include Claud Neville de Gray Stevens, S Whitehead). Bordering these properties are the owners WD Black, JR Terrille, SM Black, Thomson, Jones, Cummings, Condon, Beuck, and well as two Native Reserves, and Native owners (Maori land blocks) of Mahoenui no. 4b and Manga - Awakino no. 4.
