Description: View of a road in the Upper Hutt area, possibly Silverstream. Four men are working on constructing a culvert for road widening. They are standing on a foot-bridge in front of a long clipped hedge. A gate leads into a garden and cabbage trees are visible amongst other trees. Photographed by Albert Percy Godber. Description: The van of T Russell & Sons, butchers of Upper Hutt, parked on Whiteman's Valley Road, Silverstream. The van is on a narrow bridge across a stream. On the right of the van is a path with the photographer's wife, Laura Godber, standing on a foot-bridge, and behind her is a long clipped hedge. Behind the hedge there are trees with a number of cabbage trees visible, and hills further back. Photographed by Albert Percy Godber on 5th May 1938. Description: Panoramic view of King Edward Park showing sweeping grassed paths separated by rounded trimmed hedges. Statue of King Edward in the left foreground. Four men are seated on park benches, two on the left with a dog, and two on the right. One man is standing centre right, wearing a long coat and a hat. A sign on a cabbage tree centre right reads "Ladies only" and another sign across the path reads "To Fernery. When not open visitors can obtain admission on application to caretaker". There are a variety of trees in areas separated by the hedges, many are topiaried. The roof of a rotunda is visble in the background centre left. Taken by Robert Percy Moore. Description: View of a large house, newly built on Victoria Avenue, Wanganui, New Zealand. The near side shows the exterior wall of a conservatory, and the shadow of a flag can be seen at the top of a flagpole. The house sits alone in a cleared pastoral landscape facing Victoria Avenue. The extent of its section is indicated by plantings of young trees along the boundary. A broom hedge can also be seen on the near boundary. Other fencing hedges can be seen along paddock boundaries, in some places mixed with post and rail fences. A low plank fence runs along the edge of Victoria Avenue.
