Description: View looking over Thorndon Flat towards the harbour on Wellington's 30th Anniversary Day. Houses in Hobson Street are on the extreme left and Molesworth Street is on the extreme right. The Princess Hotel can be seen at the insection of Molesworth Street with Murphy Street. St Paul's Cathedral on Mulgrave Street is visible in the middle distance. Tinakori Road runs from left to right in the immediate foreground. The flying squadron of British warships which accompanied the Duke of Edinburgh in his visit to New Zealand are at anchor in the harbour. Photograph taken by James Bragge in 1870.
