Description: Shows a group portrait of the Methodist Maori Singers (four men and four women) in traditional costume. They are described as "distinguished visitors from Nth Auckland, Waikato, King Country, Taranaki, Wanganui River, Manawatu, Canterbury, Otago & Chatham Isls". They present a programme of "karanga, poi dances, hakas, instrumental music, haunting melodies, enchanting harmonies, ancient games, weird waiatas, Maori songs, etc." Dated from notice in Christchurch "Press", 23 July 1930.
