Description: A Republic Royal Mail bus owned by Graham and Gebbies parked outside the Fernhill Hotel, Hawkes Bay. Photograph taken by Henry Whitehead circa 1920s. Note on back of file print reads: "The bus was owned by "Grahame & Gebbies", left Hastings at approx 7.30 am. Solid tyres and possibly chain driven to the rear wheels, & the make would be "Republic". Jim Painter was the driver in 1921 and drove it for many, many years. Its trip ended at Waiwhare from where it returned to Hastings." Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
