Description: Rows of uniformed Royal New Zealand Air Force members standing in front of the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition buildings, Rongotai, Wellington. Photograph taken in 1942. The RNZAF set up a Recruiting Centre and an Initial Training school for pilots, observers and air gunners in the old Centennial Exhibition buildings in September 1939. By 1940 the buildings also housed the Technical Training School.
