Description: The scene shows a boat named 'Wananga' and labelled 'Council' sitting on the floor of the ocean. Above, on the surface of the sea is a rubber dinghy in which sits Trevor Mallard, Minister of Education, making his threat about the Wananga's having twenty one days to convince him that it can get itself out of its financial difficulties; its failure to do so will mean that a Commissioner will be appointed. Mr Mallard announced in early May a $20 million loan to bail out the Te Awamutu-based tertiary institute which he said was on the brink of insolvency. Quantity: 1 digital image(s).
