Houses on the slopes and up amongst trees at the foot of bush-clad hills. The Days Bay ferry is moored on the far side of the pier, the Days Bay Pavilion is in the centre of the image with lawns by the road. People playing tennis on courts to the left of the pavilion and behind a large two-storeyed building (side view, then Croydon School, later Wellesley College).
